That would be a whooping $7.60/gallon. No we're not there yet. That's astounding. We're seeing reports across the country of $4/gallon but here in Utah we're still a little over $3/gallon.
Wow...that is insane!! We are up to $3.70 (+ for those of us whose husbands insist on the highest level of gas) in San Jose. I can't even imagine $7.60!
I can't believe that! The next car we buy will most definitely be a hybrid. Even though we have two cars, Steve's thinking of taking the bus again once busy season is over.
Thanks for doing the math Sarah. It's interested to me, that ever since we lived in Germany 2000-2002 the price per gallon has been about double what it is in the US. Somehow as our prices have gone up, I've always thoughts of how we are now paying in the US what we used to have to pay on the German economy. Back then it was $4 per gallon on the German economy, and we felt like that was the most outrageous thing ever.
Totally a lot of money for gas... i don't think it is ever going to go back down. Just because the gas companies have raised the price and we just keep paying... as long as there is enough demand, the prices won't ever go down.
